Obama, the Antichrist?

It’s perfectly fine to disagree with a candidate on the issues but this is unheard of.  Do people really believe that Barack Obama is the antichrist?  Wow.

This highlights how ridiculous some can be. Stick to the issues and don’t get sidetracked with ridiculous accusations and innuendo.

Americans should demand candidates, presidential or otherwise, to give an accurate depiction of what they stand for and focus on those issues. We should demand that the media cover the issues instead of getting sucked into its diversions. This isn’t American Idol and the stakes are real. We should act like it.

    Yes, so true. We should demand that they focus on issues, that they do real investigative reporting and that we get real news and information. We tend to treat everything like a popularity or beauty contest. Substance is not news worthy. Is what we get for dumbing down America.

    Yes, it is very possible that Obama is the Anti-Christ.

    Please read your Bibles. Not only does the name fit (and yes, you are right, so did Reagans) BUT Obama also SAYS many things the Bible says the Anti-Christ will say. Ronald Reagan, et al… did not say those things.

    What things, you say? For instance at the Berlin Wall on the 24th of July, 2008 – Obama talks about “breaking down the walls between Christian and Muslim and Jew” -

    He also talks about peace – not just in the middle east – but all over the world

    He also has does not “regard” the God of his fathers (see Dan. chap 11), nor does Obama regard the “desire of women” – the desire of women possibly being, as Genesis describes it, the desire of women for a husband/their husband – Obama is all for gay rights and killing of innocent unborn children.

    Obama voted FOR partial birth abortion.

    The Bible also says that the Anti-Christ will obtain his kingdom through “flatteries”… Obama is the biggest flatterer, if you will, that’s ever hit the market.

    Reagan and Bush were no flatterers.

    Sometimes I think some people get bored and like to contribute to the misinformation we all read at times. Stick to the issues! It is hard for me to listen to anything seriously anymore but I have to thank REUTERS and the AP news for always keeping the FACTS to FACTS! 8)

    I’d bet that if Obama confessed Jesus as his lord and savior (and believes in his heart that God brought Him back to life) on live television and these people would not be satisfied. The man is a Christian. The point is that he doesn’t have to do that. I should trust that commenter Jean is a Christian but she doesn’t afford the same courtesy to Obama?

    The point of the matter is that if you’re going to disagree with him on the issues then do so. Don’t come with unsubstantiated claims when you have nothing else to offer.

I never insinuated anything about President Reagan, I was just pointing out what certain Republican Christians of the time believed about him, Gorbachev, and half a dozen influential people throughout the decades. Some even pointed to Pope John Paul II as the Antichrist. Being a student of both history and the Bible, has told me two things: the antichrist was actually a reference to Nero, a persector of the Christians at the time the Revelation was written, and to take the Bible literally is fallacy, and not the intention of the original authors.

    I have read my Bible, BTW. Your comments don’t add up. Senator Obama, born in Hawaii, raised by white grand parents in a Christian household, going to a Christian Church (see: Rev. Wright), denies Christ? Huh?
