Ten Worst Gadgets of 2005

22 Nov

I have a policy, general practice, or whatever you want to call it of buying the last model of gadgets just when (or just before) the new models come out. Not only does the price of the last model decrease significantly but the gadget has also been extensively reviewed. I would hate to have bought any of the gadgets listed in Ten to Avoid–the Worst Products of 2005 this year because I would be very upset now. Some of those gadgets I would never had bought anyway; I have this vision of me needing to call the police in an emergency situation but can’t because I ran my phone battery down listening to music or watching videos.

The Palm LifeDrive’s price has not gone down from it’s original $499. I wonder how many people have bought it. PDA’s aren’t that popular anymore thanks to multifunctional cell phones and MP3 players. The only reason I want one is because it has flash memory. In other words, unlike all the Palm devices before it, when the battery dies you don’t lose all of your data. I’m not paying $499 for it though.
